My very first clip! With this project, I really wanted to illustrate this endless swirl of late nights and hangovers that shapes most of our young adulthood. An infinite loop that sometimes feel intense in the moment, but to which we eventualy look upon as fond memories.
I really wanted to experiment with VHS footage for a long, long time. Les Handclaps’ energetic tune was a perfect occasion for me. Had a lot of fun working with Alexandre & Jean-Simon. They’re great!
Darker and grittier than L’Amalgame’s usual stuff, Pognés sur l’île got me wanting to do a kinda Twin Peaks video. I also really wanted to work on a clip that would explore outside of the usual norms and conventions of the rap videoclip, but couldn’t resist putting, yet again, a few B-Boy stances here and there. I just can’t help myself. I love it.

I discovered the Loose Pistons by chance, one night going out to an Analogue Addiction party. I was overwhelmed by this hidden world that I had no clue existed, and decided to do a clip that would almost feel like a vacation guide for underground rock enthusiasts.
It’s our mutual love for the Beastie Boys that got us connected with L’Amalgame for this project. We wanted a real street clip, without any extravaganza, that would bring back all those old school classics, such as the wide angle lense and the B-Boy stances.
